Cricut Classes - Holiday Edition (Multiple Dates)

Welcome to the Cricut Workshop Series - Holiday Edition hosted by April Cobb of Tender Moments, one of metro Detroit's renowned designers. Join us at the Tender Moments Showplace & Floral Design Studio for this hands-on in-person event. Learn how to use your Cricut cutting machine to create personalized gifts and custom home decor just in time for the Holidays! Whether you have a machine that has never been taken out of the box or you are simply new to Cricut and want to take your Cricut skills to the next level - Don't miss out on this opportunity to unleash your creativity with Cricut!

This course takes place every Thursday for four weeks beginning 11/14 - 12/12, 2024 This course takes place every Thursday for four weeks (*except Thanksgiving , 11/28). You have the option to either register for all 4 classes (Masterclass Bundle) or Individual classes (ala carte).

Workshop Schedule

Class 1: Cricut 101 - Intro to Design Space, Thurs. 11/14, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, (Skill Level: Beginner, 2 hrs.)

First things first! Learn how to use the Cricut design space software, learn the lingo -Cricut terms, machine features, & a few more advanced techniques like uploading & editing your own images.
**What to bring to class: • Laptop or iPad/Tablet with Cricut Design Space App already loaded on it.  You do not need to bring your machine the 1st class, but it is OPTIONAL to have it there.

Class 2: Thanksgiving Aprons, Thurs. 11/21, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, (Skill Level: Beginner HTV & Heat Press applications, 2 hrs. )

Students will receive tips and tricks for using various techniques to make Custom Apparel & Decor Using a Cricut Heat Press & Heat Transfer (HTV) Vinyl. Students will put their skills to the test with a hands-on application making Thanksgiving Aprons.
**What to bring to class** Cricut EasyPress (Optional); Laptop or iPad/Tablet with Cricut Design Space App loaded on it • Cricut Cutting Machine (Cricut Maker OR Explore Air 2 or higher), Mat (12 x 12 Standard grip), Weeding Tool(s); Skill level: Beginner with working knowledge of Cricut Design Space

Class 3: Custom Christmas Ornaments, Tues. 12/3,1:00 -3:30 PM OR Thurs. 12/5, 6:00 - 8:30 PM, (Skill Level: Beginner with working knowledge of Design Space, 2.5 hrs.)

Students will learn how to make custom Glitter & Fillable ornaments complete with Hands-on applications using Permanent Vinyl. Students will make 2 -3 ornaments.
**What to bring to class: • Laptop or iPad/Tablet with Cricut Design Space App loaded on it • Cricut Cutting Machine (Cricut Maker OR Explore Air 2 or higher), Mat (12 x 12 Standard grip), Weeding Tool(s); Skill level: Beginner with working knowledge of Design Space.

Class: 4: Santa's Plate Workshop, Thurs. 12/12, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Santa's Plate Workshop (Skill Level Intermediate, Layering, 2 Hrs.)

Students will learn how to upload templates and do more advanced layering (multiple colors) complete with a  hands on application making a cute custom Santa's Plate  using Permanent Vinyl. 
**What to bring to class: • Laptop or iPad/Tablet with Cricut Design Space App loaded on it • Cricut Cutting Machine (Cricut Maker OR Explore Air 2 or higher), Mat (12 x 12 Standard grip), Weeding Tool(s).
