This beautiful decorative Natural Straw Wedding Broom (approx. 32 inch) is Simply ELEGANT with an added touch of BLING! The handmade Ivory ribbon Bow is trimmed in Rhinestones and adorned with a gorgeous brooch in the center. The head of the broom is embellished with scattered rhinestones and the handle is wrapped in a Rhinestone bling wrap layered with white/ivory ribbon (bottom layer). Once complete, finished brooms arrive wrapped in Tulle. Perfect for gift giving and/or keeping covered until the wedding.
This beautiful Wedding broom will also serve as a wonderful keepsake from your special day. There is a hook on the back and on the end of the handle for easy hanging.
Jumping the broom is a popular African-American wedding tradition that symbolizes the sweeping away of the OLD and the welcoming of the NEW. The tradition dates back to the period of slavery during which slaves were not allowed to marry so they jumped the broom as a way of ceremonially uniting.
